Pet Registration

All pet registration is made online or by phone through PetChamps at www.petparentusa.com

Licensing Terms

The annual registration for dogs and cats shall be within 30 days of vaccination against rabies.

After payment and registration is successfully processed PetChamps will mail all license tag(s) to the applicant(s) within 15 days.

Such registration shall be valid for:

• 1 year from the date of a 1 year vaccination.
• 3 years from the date of a 3 year vaccination.

Fees

1 year registration fees:

• $12.00 if the dog or cat is spayed or neutered
• $35.00 if the dog or cat is not spayed or neutered

3 year registration fees:

• $36.00 if the dog or cat is spayed or neutered
• $105.00 if the dog or cat is not spayed or neutered

        * An additional $1.95 convenience fee is added per transaction

Late Fees

The registration fee for any dog or cat registered more than 30 days after the date of vaccination against rabies shall double the original fee.

Late 1 year registration fees:

• $24.00 if the dog or cat is spayed or neutered
• $70.00 if the dog or cat is not spayed or not neutered

Late 3 year registration fees:

• $72.00 if the dog or cat is spayed or neutered
• $210.00 if the dog or cat is not spayed or not neutered

Fees for Unsterilized Dogs
Fees for dog and cats that not spayed or neutered are higher because thousands of dogs/cats are euthanised annually or suffer as strays because of unwanted, unplanned litters that could have been prevented by spaying or neutering. One unsprayed female and her offspring can produce 67,000 puppies in just six years. Spayed and neutered dogs/cats are also healthier and have fewer medical problems. In addition, spaying and neutering can make pets less likely to run away or fight with other animals.

Cook County Rabies Vaccine and Microchip Clinics

Cook County Animal and Rabies Control (ARC) is resuming rabies vaccine and microchip clinics. ARC is partnering with local animal organizations to offer low-cost or free 1-year rabies vaccines and microchips.
