Harvey has the talent
Harvey has the home-grown talent – and the educational institutions to develop the talent – so that you can expand your business in a competitive hiring market.
The City of Harvey’s talent attraction strategy is three-fold. First, we are working to build a better Harvey that can deliver the quality of life to retain the young scholars that graduate from our academic institutions. Second, we partner with the Chicago Southland Economic Development Corporation and others to give millennials and mid-career workers the tools to compete in logistics, manufacturing, health care and other growing fields.
Third, we are working to attract more talent by providing incentives (including quality workforce housing) and high-quality amenities – like low cost, high speed broadband, improved parks and green spaces, community policing hubs (where police officers are embedded in the residential neighborhoods), safer sidewalks/cross walks and protected biking lanes, and modern, ADA compliant mass transit connections.
