Harvey's Own in Pro Sports
The City of Harvey has yet to come up short in the athletic arena. When looking at current and past professional athletes — such as NFL-star Barry Gardner and the late Lou Boudreau (a Baseball Hall of Fame inductee) — talent seems to be in the blood of Harvey citizens.
Adult softball leagues, pee-wee football leagues, the Harvey boxing club and many other athletic outlets provide both the youth and adult population of Harvey plenty of opportunities to get involved.
For a city its size, Harvey, Illinois churns out quite a few professional athletes. If any indication is from its previous and current stars, the City of Harvey can look forward to more of its own heading into professional sports in the future.
