Rental Property Business License Application

It is unlawful for any person to operate, maintain, or offer to rent within the city, a single-family or multi-family rental structure whether vacant or not, without first obtaining a Rental Property Business Licenser, annually (17-48-010 License to operate single- and multi-family rental structures). Additionally, each Rental Property Business License Application shall be accompanied by an application and license fee, which is detailed below. All applications are due on or before June 1st of each year and shall expire on May 31st of the following year of issuance.

Submit the above along with the items listed below to the Building Department at 15320 Broadway, Harvey, IL 60426.

• Current Lease

• Proof of Ownership (Deed)

• Proof of Homeowners Insurance

• Notarized Affidavit

• Crime Free Housing Lease Addendum

• $150 Application Fee (Non-refundable)

• Applicable License Fee (Non-refundable)

4 or more $200.00 for the first unit + $50.00 per additional unit
